About the Canadian Academy of Implant Dentistry
The Canadian Academy of Implant Dentistry (CAID) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing implant dentistry through education, professional development, and the continued growth of the implant dental community in Canada.
Your Symposium registration fee helps support the Academy’s educational initiatives and ongoing operations. A portion of funds may also be directed toward philanthropic initiatives and other worthy projects selected by the CAID Board, allowing the Academy to support causes that extend beyond the profession and benefit the broader community.

Dr. William (Bill) Liang, a former UBC dentistry student, has dedicated over 40 years to general dentistry, with a special focus on oral implantology. He’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry and an honoured fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Since 2009, Bill has been the founding director of the AAID Vancouver MaxiCourse and currently also serves as an adjunct professor for Jacksonville University’s comprehensive oral implantology master’s degree program.
He also holds the position of Director of Education and Clinical Development at Bioconcept.
Throughout his career, Bill has held numerous leadership roles at the AAID, AGD, the former College of Dental Surgeons of BC, and Rotary International.
His commitment to improving oral health benefits many people.
